SUPERIOR PROTECTION AND PERSONAL SERVICE – Established as Dwyer Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1989, based on the founding principles of providing superior protection and personal service, Dwyer Insurance takes pride in serving Greater Cincinnati area families and businesses. Licensed in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Dwyer Insurance strives to establish a long term and meaningful relationship with our clients as their trusted independent insurance advisor. We specialize in providing prompt, courteous and trustworthy agency service, protection and advice. We want you to feel like a part of our family. Often people do not understand the differences between the types of insurance agencies and the services provided. Contrary to popular belief, no two insurance companies, policies or agencies are the same. Dwyer Insurance differs from other insurance agencies in several key areas. On top of all that, all of our team combined, as well as every single member has years upon years of experience!
Our History
1989 – Dan Dwyer, Sr. and Alice Dwyer Incorporated Dwyer Insurance Agency, Inc., bringing Dan’s 30+ years of insurance experience into the agency business, representing three insurance companies.
Goals: Quality service, excellent pricing and claims paying.
1990 – Purchased Herb Bell Insurance Agency.
1991 – Moved to a rented office space on Bridgetown Road, gaining more visibility and market exposure. Hired our first full-time Customer Service Agent.
1992 – Was joined by Dan Dwyer, Jr. recently returned from service in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm, who also attended University of Cincinnati.
1996 – Purchased our office building on North bend Road, with enough space and modern facilities to continue growing and to provide the Customer Service which is the foundation of the agency.
1998 – Joined by Marty Dwyer, a LaSalle grad while he was attending the University of Cincinnati.
2000 – Joined by Lori Dwyer Caldwell, grad of Texas A&M – Corpus Christi and recent bank vice president.
2005 – Purchased Butler Insurance & Associates Insurance Agency; brought over one Butler staff member.
2008 – Upgraded to a state-of-the-art Agency Management System, providing full policyholder records at every desk.
2012 – Went paperless. Scanned every client record – everything – including papers dating back to our founding in 1989. Securely shredded all paper files.
2016 – Purchased Mac Webb Insurance Agency; was lucky to bring Patti over from the Webb staff.
2017 – Purchased Ken Henry Insurance Agency; happy to add Rhonda from the Henry staff.
2018 – By now, we had more than outgrown our office facilities. Began planning and design for a new building. Purchased an adjacent property and razed it to provide added land for construction.
2019 – Construction complete, using all local contractors and suppliers. Moved to the new Dwyer Insurance office – all new ergonomic furniture, upgraded computers, high-speed fiber-based internet, and more.
During these years, members of Dwyer Insurance have served on a number of industry and business committees, organizations and advisory groups. These include Erie, Grange, and Progressive insurance carriers; Greater Cincinnati Insurance Agents Association; Western Economic Council; Exchange Club of Western Hills, West Chester-Liberty Chamber, Ohio Automobile Insurance Assigned Risk Plan.
